step four

From the first call to the day we finish your project, there is a process in place to ensure you have the best possible experience.

Permits are acquired, scheduling is completed, and the project begins. At DeGroot Construction we have created a unique team of people who perfectly lend themselves to our construction process. A solution minded project manager is dedicated to every project, skilled trades who are aligned with our core values are utilized, and constant site presence ensures the project goes as planned. Collaboration continues accordingly with involved architects and/or designers through the course of the project to ensure the original vision becomes reality.

At this point we start to dial in the fine details. Final documents for construction, material selections, fine design plans, etc. The goal is to work through all the final details with all the key people (client, architect, designer). These details then get documented in key project plans and are incorporated into the formal contract for construction.

The initial consultation is where we meet each other, learn about the client’s needs, wants, concerns, etc. On average the initial meeting only takes 30-60 minutes. By the end of the meeting we are typically able to provide a rough idea of what to expect on project cost.

step three

Concept

Understanding what something is going to cost – and why – is a very important part of every project. Whether you are in the final stages of a design process with a separate firm or you are coming to us without a plan, the sooner we can be involved the better. Concept development is the crucial step towards converting a wish to reality, and making decisions that impact cost start to happen early in the design process.

step two

The communication throughout the project was exceptional. Rob and the entire team at DeGroot were transparent, approachable, and proactive in keeping us informed. They provided regular updates, clearly outlining challenges that arose and discussing potential solutions. This level of transparency helped build trust, and we felt confident that our project was in capable hands.  –Katie R.
